January 2012

Thank you Deacon Cliff King

Deacon Cliff King retired from full duty at the end of 2011. We miss him already and wish him a happy, healthy retirement filled with the laughter of family and the peace of God. Here is Deacon Cliff’s note to all of us:

A Note From Deacon Cliff King

It has been truly a graced experience to have served at St. Thomas Parish for the last 16 years, and St. Dorothy Parish for the past two years. It has been exciting to watch the two communities as they go through the growing pains that will result in one parish community. It is with mixed emotions that I announce to you that I will retire from full duty at the end of 2011, in order to spend more time with Loretta and the kids and grandkids, with diminished responsibilities here. I will keep you in my

prayers and ask you keep us in yours.

God Bless

Deacon Cliff

Thank You to All Who Made the Season Bright!

Our thanks to all who contributed so much to making our Christmas season so bright:

·        The adult and children choirs of St. Thomas Church as well as the Trinity Singers for presenting another great Christmas concert, and the crew who prepared the refreshments after the concert.

·        The crews who decorated the two churches and halls.

·        All who gave to the Giving Tree at both churches as well as those who gave to Birthright, thank you. You brightened the lives of many children.

·        The music ministry at both churches. Thanks for your work at the various liturgies.

·        All those who gave to the Christmas collection.  That collection goes to the Clergy Benefit Trust which funds the health and retirement benefits of the priests of the Archdiocese of Boston.

·        All who gave to the various drives for social justice.
